Ignite is an Agribusiness programme designed to spark creation of jobs and wealth in young women through Agripreneurship. Ignite nurtures and turns ground-breaking ideas into profitable and sustainable Agribusinesses.
Are you a SheFarmer?
20+ year old female, with or without farming experience. Ready to commit 6 months full time (40+ hrs a week). Burning desire to grow/ build a farming career. Ghanaian or resident in Ghana.
We train other women farmers on these sustainable farming practices in order to produce high yielding, healthy and safe consumable crops, and also add value to what they produce.
The Women in Agribusiness Week will have 4 major events packed with activities full of Education, Fun and Networking. The following are the events:
Women in Agribusiness Week (WAW)2022 is a week-long series of impactful activities to accelerate partnerships and collaborations among women in Agribusiness and stakeholders and to salute their achievements. The Women in Agribusiness Week will run under the theme βRevitalizing Partnerships for Sustainable Agribusiness Developmentβ.
Participants will benefit from a wide range of activities. An opportunity to interact with Traditional leaders on the best ways to acquire lands for agricultural purposes, have firsthand information on policies regarding agribusiness in the country, and to exhibit their products. Tertiary students will also be engaged to see the vast opportunities available in the agricultural sector. The media, allies and diasporas will have their turn to engage. WAW is for everyone who is passionate about agriculture, food and agribusiness.
